NwT in the school practice phases

The school practice phases, i.e. the orientation internship and the school practice semester, are the opportunity to gain initial teaching experience in NwT lessons during your studies.

Are you still unsure about which schools you should go to? The NwT course coordinator (see contact below) will be happy to help! Further information can also be found in the Ilias NwT folder.

If you have general questions about the school practice phases, please contact the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB).

School practice abroad

Whether it's a semester abroad, school practice phases, social and company internships or final theses - there are many opportunities to integrate stays abroad and intercultural experiences into your teacher training course. Further information on opportunities and their funding can be found at the Center for Teacher Education.

Recognition of achievements abroad

If you would like to earn credits abroad and have them recognized later in your studies at KIT, you should record this in advance in a so-called Learning Agreement. You can obtain the confirmation of recognition from the respective examiners at KIT. The degree program coordination NwT will be happy to assist you. Please note that some study abroad programs require specific Learning Agreements. If this is not the case, you can use the Learning Agreement of the Erasmus program.

To have your achievements recognized in your studies here after your return, fill out the form for the recognition of study and examination achievements NwT. You must submit the application form together with the transcript of records of your examination and study achievements at the foreign university and your Learning Agreement to the NwT degree program coordinator.
