Recognition of academic achievements, applications and forms
Recognition of academic achievements
Study and examination achievements that are not described in the relevant module handbook and were completed within or outside the university system (e.g. in previous studies or vocational training) can generally be recognized upon application by the student to the Examination Board for Teacher Education under the framework conditions of SPO § 18. Achievements that are essentially congruent with modules from the curriculum (in particular objectives and qualifications) can be recognized. This is not a schematic comparison, but an overall consideration. The principles of the ECTS system are applied with regard to the scope of coursework submitted for recognition. Students who are newly enrolled in the respective teaching degree program for grammar schools (B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Ed. extension subject) must submit the application with the documents required for recognition within one semester of enrollment.
The recognition of achievements for the subject NwT is carried out via the application for recognition of study and examination achievements NwT. Please contact the NwT degree program coordinator regarding possible credits to be recognized. The recognition of credits in the other subject is carried out by the respective subject advisor.
In order to ensure the recognition of credits for planned stays abroad, the agreement of planned credits must be recorded in writing in a learning agreement. Please contact the NwT degree program coordinator as well as the respective academic advisors for the second subject.
Applications to the Examination Board for Teacher Education
There is a form on the website of the Center for Teacher Education for applications to the Examination Board, e.g. for an extension of the deadline for the orientation examination or a second repetition of an examination. Applications of this kind can be submitted to the Teacher Training Examination Board via the NwT degree program coordination.
